040° What I do

Four disciplines, one engineer.

Most projects cross at least two of these. Not having to hand the work between specialists is where the time and the bugs are saved.

01 · Native mobile

iOS and Android, built properly

Swift and Objective-C on iOS, Kotlin and Java on Android. My full-time work is a property marketplace app serving over 6 million people a month in nine country brands, so I know what a codebase needs to survive ten engineers, A/B tests, right-to-left languages and App Store review.

02 · Connected hardware

From firmware to the phone

Three years building IoT products on ESP32, ESP8266, nRF52 and Arduino-class hardware: Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi pairing, provisioning, live telemetry, and the apps and cloud pipelines around them. I trained as a computer systems engineer, so the hardware side is home ground.

03 · AI & agentic development

AI in the product and in the process

I designed and rolled out the agentic AI workflow a production iOS team now ships features with: a pipeline of Claude Code agents that takes a design and a ticket to a review-ready pull request, with checks for localisation, accessibility and analytics on every run. Norward is built on the same method.

04 · Web & back end

Dashboards, portals and the data behind them

Next.js, React and TypeScript on PostgreSQL and Supabase, deployed on Vercel. Admin dashboards with live charts, multi-role portals with access rules enforced in the database, and bilingual sites with true right-to-left layouts.

Founder & Principal Engineer

Norward · AI-native software studio

Design, build and ship web apps, mobile apps, AI agents and connected-hardware products for clients, on fixed quotes with a working demo every week.
Built the studio's delivery method on agentic AI development: agents produce the volume, I own the architecture and review everything that ships.

Jul 2025 – presentLahore

Software Engineer II, iOS

Dubizzle Labs · Bayut & Zameen · promoted from Associate Software Engineer

Build Bayut, a property marketplace shipping nine country brands to 6M+ monthly users from one Swift codebase shared with more than ten engineers.
Shipped Branded Reports, one of Bayut's biggest UAE launches, then TruEstimate reports over WhatsApp, so users receive property valuations directly in chat. Owned both from concept to release.
Delivered the map search redesign end to end as a three-variant A/B test, including the feature flags, analytics and a reusable bottom sheet that was promoted into the shared UI kit.
Led the Mapbox to Google Maps migration across five production map surfaces, hiding the vendor behind an abstraction so feature code no longer depends on the SDK.
Drove the move from CocoaPods to Swift Package Manager, splitting the app into five local packages while all nine app flavours kept compiling, and modernised the networking stack underneath them.
Built advanced filtering and market insights over a feed of roughly 84,000 Dubai property transactions, so a buyer can judge whether a listing is fairly priced.
Built and rolled out the team's agentic AI development workflow, and wrote the release-governance automation (QA gates, PR gates, automated back-merges) that makes release readiness visible without chasing.

Maintained and extended the Zameen iOS app, Pakistan's largest property marketplace, in a large Objective-C and Swift codebase.
Shipped the Campaign screen for Zameen and the Daily Rental experience for Bayut in Saudi Arabia, plus help centre, onboarding and permission flows, each localised for English and Arabic.

Sep 2021 – Aug 2024Peshawar

IoT Developer

Chip Soul Technology · started as App Development Intern

Built native iOS and Android apps from scratch for connected-hardware products, owning the whole mobile architecture: BLE and Wi-Fi device pairing, provisioning and live telemetry.
Integrated Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266 and nRF52 hardware with AWS IoT pipelines for device data and remote control.
Did this alongside the final three years of an engineering degree.

Motorsport · PRS Motorsport Equipment, Monza, Italy

Race-car telemetry and electronic gear-shifting, from firmware to phone

PRS builds engine control units and paddle-shift systems for race cars and karts. Over a multi-year collaboration I've built the connected chain around their hardware: embedded firmware and the Bluetooth link, a native iOS app that speaks the control unit's decades-old serial protocol and streams live engine data at up to half-second refresh, an Android version brought to feature parity, and a web admin dashboard with interactive, zoomable log charts.

School management platform

One application serving three audiences from one database: an admin dashboard for the principal, office and accountant, a teacher portal and a parent portal. Covers fees, attendance, exams, timetables and notices.

Access rules are enforced inside the database rather than the app, and an automated sweep signs in as every role and verifies all 77 routes.

Bilingual corporate website, 115 pages

English and Arabic site for an integrated facility management company, with a true mirrored right-to-left layout rather than a translated one. Eleven service lines and ten sector pages, all generated from typed content files.

Fully static: 115 pre-rendered pages, no database, and no UI or charting libraries.
